(No) Pressure
I have been feeling a build up of pressure lately. This pressure seems to be coming from all sorts of external forces. You can imagine what these are! It got to the extent of feeling like I was in a thick fog but it wasn’t weightless, rather this fog had a heaviness like glue. Ever felt like this?
There is a stronger force within – something that can counteract this pressure and push it back into space. We just need to remind ourselves and draw on these resources within us.
Sometimes this requires being still (even for a moment) and creating space.
Yoga (meaning union) is one way that I have found to create space. Anything that has the body opening up can also bring an opening to the mind and the heart. Why not try tree pose (vrksasana) with your branches waving in the breeze and your knee pushing back to assist in opening the hip?
It’s great one for opening and well as finding the balance between the external and internal space – no pressure!
