How to live without drowning or dehydrating?
I remember a few short months ago when we had so little water that we were not able to use the swimming pool. Now it’s the monsoon and there’s so much water that you can swim anywhere you like!
My experience of India is often one of extremes – wealth/poverty, incredible food/food that is not that appealing, friends that treat you like a queen/strangers who ignore you, sickness/health, the best smells/smells that you want to avoid…the list can be extended but the point is, I don’t find much in the middle.
My experience of my own life feels similar right now. A day when things go to plan, lots of things get ticked off the list and my wellness is taken care of in the course of the day and then other days where it feels like everything is out of control and there’s so much to do that wellness if the furthest thing from my mind.
I don’t see this pattern changing anytime soon. At least not for the next 12 months. So, how to live without drowning or dehydrating?
My sense in that’s it’s about finding that space between the two extremes…that moment when light is turning to darkness or that moment just before the dawn.
